We are thrilled to share that the School of the Osage Wind Ensemble has been selected to perform at the Missouri Music Educators Association (MMEA) Conference in January 2026. This is one of the most prestigious honors a high school band in Missouri can receive and marks the very first time in our school’s history that we’ve had a group invited to perform at this incredible event.

Only six high school bands across the entire state were selected this year, and our Wind Ensemble earned their spot through a blind audition process judged by a panel of experienced out-of-state professionals.

Their performance will take place at the MMEA Conference held at Margaritaville and will be attended by nearly 1,000 individuals from across Missouri, including a majority of the State of Missouri’s music educators. The students will perform a 25-minute concert, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share their dedication and musical growth with a statewide audience of music educators.

Director of Bands Jeff Kile shared, β€œI feel truly blessed to be the Director of Bands at School of the Osage. It is a great honor to be chosen to perform at the MMEA State Convention, and it has been one of my goals to showcase our talented students at the MMEA Convention since I arrived at Osage in 2005.”

Please join us in congratulating the School of the Osage Band Program and the Wind Ensemble on this historic and well-deserved achievement. We are SO proud!
