Q. How much time will be required on the part of the mentor?

  1. The program entails a six hour time commitment, inclusive of two face-to-face meetings and 6-8 email exchanges.

Q. Where and when will the face to face meetings take place?

  1. The mentoring meetings will be on February 15 from 8:00-9:30 and on April 3 from 11:30-1:00. These meetings are intended as a breakfast meeting and lunch meeting, respectively and will take place in person the Osage High School commons. We are also making plans to conduct these meetings via Skype at the same time, if necessary due to geographic constraints.

Q. How will security be ensured?

  1. Since the program is largely conducted via email, our staff will be able to monitor electronic communication.   As with every volunteer who works with school-aged children, mentors will consent to and pass background checks.
